RDAs, RTAs and RDTAs Tanks

Rebuildable atomizers are designed for use by advanced vapers and it is always advised to ensure you have a full understanding of how they work and Ohm’s Law before using them. It is very important to know exactly how to rebuild the coils and you should always ensure that you check the resistance before using the rebuildable on a mod, especially a mechanical mod. Once you are sure that the coils are heating up correctly, then you will find that the way you vape may change for good as the amount of flavour and vapour that is achievable from a rebuildable is very hard to match with a normal style of vape tank.

RDA is a rebuildable dripping atomizer which you may have seen when people used to do vaping cloud competitions. An RDA also known as dripper tank usually has either 2,3 or 4 posts and can house a large selection of different coils such as Clapton Coils, Dragon Coils or Twisted Wire coils. The sole purpose of an RDA is how you apply the e-liquid to the cotton. E-Liquid is dripped on to the cotton and coil, which can produce huge amounts of both flavour and/or vapour depending on the resistance desired.

An RTA is a rebuildable tank atomizer which is similar to and RDA but once the coils and cotton are installed you would then cover these with the rest of the tank. Once reassembled, you would proceed to fill up the tank with e-liquid and this can use the e-liquid inside to saturate the cotton within the coil to provide great flavour and vapour production.

An RDTA is a rebuildable dripping tank atomizer which combines both of the key elements of an RDA and RTA. Usually, an RDTA will have a build deck near the top of the tank and the wicks will protrude into a tank drawing e-liquid up into the coil.

An RBA is a rebuildable atomizer which normally is used instead of a prebuilt coil. An RBA allows the user to create and install their own coils and wick to the exact resistance they prefer to use. This gives the exact amount of flavour and vapour depending on the resistance of the coil and actually works out a lot cheaper than buying replacement coils.

This can vary quite dramatically between the brand and the quality of the product. You can get a rebuildable atomizer very cheap however, with prices usually starting around £4.99 - £9.99 but they can go up as high as over £100 in some cases!
