Sub Ohm Vape Kits

The coils within the tank are the key factor that will define a vape kit as sub-ohm or not. If the resistance of the coils is 0.99 Ohm or lower, then this will be sub ohm vape. 

Sub ohm vape kits tend to produce larger amounts of vapour than their lower-powered mouth-to-lung (MTL) counterparts. You will experience dense vapour that is full of flavour – it’s a brilliant way to get the most out of your favourite e-Liquid.

This is a really hard question to answer, as there are so many fantastic sub-ohm vape kits being released all of the time by many manufacturers, including Smok, Uwell and Vaporesso. Within a sub-ohm vape kit, you will have:

• A vape tank – A vape tank is designed to heat e-liquid and produce vapour. In a sub-ohm vape, it will use coils with a resistance below 1.00 Ohm. 
• A vape mod – This is the part of the vape that contains the battery and will be capable of firing a lower resistance coil. Some mods will have a maximum wattage output of up to 230 watts and above. 
• Charging cable – Most of the kits will include a charging cable.
• Spare coils – They usually also include spare coils for the vape tank. 

It is always worth checking the contents of your kit as most will not come with batteries (unless it is an internal battery). Batteries may, therefore, need to be purchased separately.

Before you can find your perfect flavour, you need to make sure that you have the right type of e-liquid for a sub-ohm kit. Ideally, you’re looking for a liquid that has high vegetable glycerine (VG) content with a low nicotine amount. This is because the increased vapour from a sub-ohm vape means that higher nicotine levels will be too strong. 

For most people, the best option is to pick a shortfill vape liquid which contains no nicotine and then add a nic-shot.

Like all vape coils, the life of a sub-ohm coil will depend on a few factors including your vaping style, the vape juice you are using and the power you’re vaping at. 

Typically, you can expect to get 5-7 days of use from sub-ohm coils, but if you are using very high power settings with sweet juices, this may be a little shorter. If you are using a lower power kit and don’t vape that often, it could last you as long as 10 days.

Sub-ohm vape kits produce a larger amount of vapour than a MTL kit. This means that you will need a lower amount of nicotine. 

We recommend using either a 3mg or 6mg nic strength. To achieve these strengths, simply add either 1 or 2 10ml nic shots to a 50ml shortfill e-liquid.
